Today, Jem though the world was ending. It was just snow. Jem kept yelling at me not to step in in, he said that i was wastin it. His snowman was lovely, it looked just like Mr.Avery. that made me laugh. Atticus told us to make the Mr.Avery snowman look different because Mr.Avery would not like it. Jem took Miss Maudies hat and clippers and put them on the snowman. It made me laugh.
put the blanked on me. Miss Maudie's house caught on fire! Atticus woke me up and i had no idea what was goin on. It was very early and I almost froze outside. Atticus told me and Jem to go away from the fire. We stood in front of the Radley house. It was so crazy outside, everyone in Maycomb County was outside trying to help Miss Mauldie. When the fire was finally over,we went inside that house and Atticus made us hot chocolate. Then he said, that he thought he told us to stay in one spot. Me and Jem, we were very confused because we did stay in one spot. Atticus then asked me why I had a blanket around me because it was not our blanket. Then he told me that Boo Radley put it on me, then Jem went crazy. I just kept trying to figure out why i did not notice someone put a blanket on and and especially since that someone was Boo.

ReplyDeleteScout, the snow was very cool wasn't it? i though that was funny too, i'd reckon Mr. Avery might have gotten mad at us if he knews it were him. Atticus must think we are the best snow men builders ever!
There were alot of people at Miss Mauldie's house. I'da thought you were warm with having my arm around you but I guess not. Sorry about that. It was a lil' cold out. I don't think Boo came out and put that blanket there on you. We would have heard those big footsteps of him! I cant believe we are stupid enough to not of heard him. Maybe he will come out again, i can't wait till then!

ReplyDeleteWhy thanks for thinkin' I'm a funny kid. It actually was a perfect match to Mr.Avery. We are so good at makin' snowmen. Atticus liked it too, but sorta worried if Mr.Avery actually would see it. Don't you go and make fun of me now though. I never saw snow before and neither did you. I really thought the world was ending, you never know?
I feel bad for Miss Maudie, she really didnt care that much afterwards though. I've been trying to sneak a peek at Boo Radley since forever! I can't believe I missed my only chance. I think this dream is hopeless. Atticus does though make a mighty fine cup of hot chocolate, my favorite!

ReplyDeleteWe did do a good job, didnt we? Imma thinkin it would still look better as ol' Mr.Avery instead. But im pretty sure Atticus would'a skinned us for keepin' it that way.
I reckon Miss.Maudie is happy that ol' shack burnt down, but its still sad to see it go. Too bad Miss. Stephanie actually thinks she is gonna get her hands on that recipe. I still cant believe your stupid enough to not notice that Boo had put that blanket on you. If that was me, iwould'a had enough common sense to turn myself around and look. Brian cells Scout.
